I purchased this book because I loved the concept all around. The book arrived today and I was excited to open it and take a look at it with my kids. The book itself is nice and heavy duty, however, when my 12 year old and I checked it out together, we noticed some pretty big inaccuracies with regard to the highlighted areas of the United States. For example, Mt. Rushmore, located in western South Dakota, is shown with a red pin on this map as being in the southern Minnesota/northern Iowa area. That's not off by just a little! Philadelphia is pinned east of Washington DC, near what should be New Jersey. Again, a rather large discrepancy. New York City is pinned around Connecticut. Pretty much all of the highlighted/pinned areas for the US are not true to their actual locations, which leads me to wonder about the other highlighted/pinned areas for the rest of the countries/continents that are covered. When the book you're selling is an atlas, one would think extra care would be taken with regard to the accuracy of locations. As far as the content and photos, it's a beautiful book. But I can't recommend it as it currently is based on the above issues.Product details

Great photos, good information...was hoping for MORE references to God and Christianity's impact to the world. I am glad I have it and use it for homeschool at least once a week.
Nice book with lots of fun information to study. Beautiful photographs help the child see historical, sports, food, and other cultural facts from each country!
